Differential diagnosis of massive splenomegaly are : 
-tropical splenomegaly syndrome 
-tuberculosis
-Gaucher's Disease
-lipid storage disease
-Thalassemia major ( Children) 
-polycythemia rubra vera
-chronic malaria
-myelofibrosis
-chronic myeloid leukemia
-kala azar
-chronic congestive splenomegaly due to portal hypertension
