DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF EXTERNAL COMPRESSION OF THE URETER CAUSING ACUTE RENAL FAILURE ( POST RENAL CAUSES)

Differential diagnosis of external compression of the ureter causing acute renal failure ( post renal causes) are : 
-retroflexion of uterus during pregnancy 
-idiopathic fibrosis 
-fibrosis due to surgery, radiation or inflammatory bowel disease
-tumours ( ovarian, prostatic, endometrial, cervical)
