Differential diagnosis of general causes of proteinuria are :
-high fever -unilateral kidney -idiopathic intermittent proteinuria -orthostatic proteinuria -heart failure -heavy exercise -pre eclampsia -constrictive pericarditis -tricuspid insufficiency -arteriolar nephrosclerosis -chronic pyelonephritis -massive obesity -renal vein thrombosis -nephrolithiasis -acute tubular necrosis -malignant hypertension -polycystic kidney disease -allergen( insect / bee stings, pollens, poison ivy) -renal neoplasm -genitourinary tuberculosis
