Differential diagnosis of intermittent jaundice are :
-lobar pneumonia -transient formation of pulmonary thromboembolism -spasms of the bile duct -malaria fever ( destruction of the red blood cells) -3 trimester pregnancy -gallstones, intermittently obstructing the bile duct -inflammatory edema of the ampulla of Vater -worms migrating obstructing the ampulla of Vater -acute intermittent porphyria -methyldopa, salicylates, chloramphenicol, trichloroethylene and oral contraceptive.
