DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF LOW PROTEIN ASCITES ( PROTEIN < 2.5 g/l) TRANSUDATE CAUSING GRADE III ASCITES

Differential diagnosis of low protein ascites ( protein < 2.5 g/l) transudate causing grade III ascites ​are : 
-obstruction of the inferior vena cava
-nephrotic syndrome 
-hepatic metastases
-malignant tumours 
-Budd – Chiari syndrome 
-portal vein thrombosis 
-hypothyroidism 
-hepatic failure 
-cirrhosis
