-ileal loop 
-ureterosigmoidoscopy 
-ingestion of calcium chloride 
-ingestion of magnesium chloride
-diarrhea
-small bowel or pancreatic fistula drainage 
-ion exchange resin 
-hypoaldosteronism 
-carbonic anhydrase inhibitor 
-potassium sparing diuretics
-renal tubular acidosis 
-rapid expansion of the extracellular fluid volume with bicarbonate free fluid 
-recovery phase of ketoacidosis
