-severe chronic anemia
-pregnancy 
-depletion of sodium 
-hemorrhage
-central nervous system infection 
-trauma to the brain 
-demyelination 
-cerebrovascular accident 
-tabes dorsalis
-syringomyelia 
-Shy Drager Syndrome 
-pheochromocytoma 
-drugs - minoxidil, hydralazine, nitroglycerine, tricyclic anti depressant, phenothiazines
-aldosteronism
