-epileptic attack -muscular spasm -surgery -crush injury or trauma -myositis -muscular dystrophy -rhabdomyolysis -intramuscular injections -vigorous exercise -hyperthermia -arterial embolism -acute aortic dissection -pulmonary infarction -neurogenic muscular atrophy -myasthenia gravis -alcoholism -intoxication -inflammatory myopathies -hypothyroidism -liver, pancreas or other gastrointestinal diseases -labour -pregnancy -thyrotoxicosis crisis -hyperthyroidism -malignant tumour
